PHOENIX (February 26, 2018) – The St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Irish Faire committee has announced this year’s event will be held Saturday, March 17. The iconic event has become a staple in the Phoenix community, and committee members say this year’s festivities are a can’t miss.
“This year marks our 35th and falls on the St. Patrick’s Day holiday,” said Harry Sexton, President, St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Irish Faire Committee. “With some exciting new additions to the day, we feel like this could be our best yet.”
Craig Fouhy has been named as this year’s Grand Marshal. Fouhy is sports director and sports anchor at ABC 15 also hosts “Fouhy on the Fanatic” on The Fanatic 1580 AM and 99.3 FM.
The Parade includes marching bands, Irish step dancers, bagpipers, police and fire vehicles, government dignitaries, floats and of course the 2018 Arizona Irish Colleen / Arizona Rose with her Court. The Arizona Colleen and Rose programs encourage young women to take pride in their Irish heritage and become involved in the Irish community.

Parking and Transportation:
There will be a free shuttle from 1850 North Central Avenue (West side of Central Ave & Palm Lane) to the Faire. TAKE THE LIGHT RAIL TO THE ROOSEVELT STREET STATION. Free parking at the garage at 1850 North Central Ave.
